PADI Open Water Diver certificate
PADI Open Water Diver certification can cost as low as $350. If you're lucky enough to find a study place, it can also be as cheap as $225. For this certification to be awarded, you must complete at least four open-water dives. Along with the Open Water Diver manual, there will be a series knowledge reviews. These reviews are intended to test your skills in swimming and floatation. Skills for confined water diving
PADI Instructor Manual lists the skills that are required for each level of confined water diving. PADI Open Water Divers experience starts at 8.30 am. There will be a brief orientation, theoretical sessions, and a practical session with confined water. You'll be able to learn how to breathe underwater, adjust for pressure and retrieve your regulator. After that, you'll embark on your PADI dive aboard a boat to reach the Atlantic Princess, a 30-meter-long wreck full of marine life.
Maximum training depth
During the course of your Open Water certification, you will be taught how to safely dive up to the maximum permitted depth. However, the question that many Open Water certified divers have is how deep they can go. Open water diving is allowed for up to 50 minutes by most agencies before they recommend that divers go deeper. Below are some guidelines to help you decide if you should train at this level.
Advanced courses require that you can swim at least 50 feet/15 m without stopping. A typical course lasts fourteen minute so you must be able to swim at least 200 yards (185 meters). You will also need to acquire all of the necessary equipment, which includes a single-cylinder with at least 72 feet of capacity and sufficient supervision. An exposure suit will be required to fit the length of your dive course.
The course requirements
A course to become a certified scuba diver usually takes between three and four days. Students will need to read and study the sections and take quizzes throughout the course. Students are assisted by instructors to find the answers. Cconfined diving is an easy and safe way to begin your certification.
