Advanced technical diving certifications are available for those who wish to pursue them. TDI offers Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox, and Decompression Procedures courses. PADI offers Tec Trimix as well as Deep Diver courses. Advanced Nitrox training is offered by TDI to recreational Nitrox divers. This course covers equipment operation, gas switching, and advanced emergency procedures such as liftbag deployment. Visit the TDI web site for more information.
TDI Intro Tech course
The TDI Intro to Tech course is a standalone training course that helps you expand on your recreational training and gain a deeper knowledge of advanced technical skills. It can also serve as a great introduction to TDI's advanced courses, such as Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures. For those who have completed technical courses, it can be used to refresh your knowledge. During the course technical instructors from TDI will evaluate your skills.
For divers who have never dived with twin cylinders or a wing, the TDI Intro to Tech course will be helpful. It also covers advanced buoyancy control and gas management. Students will also acquire situational awareness and trim skills. You can take the course in open cenotes or at sea, which offer similar conditions to swimming pools. Advanced gas planning skills will also be learned. This course is intended to enhance your open water diving skills, and to introduce you the technical equipment configurations. You will also learn advanced gas planning techniques. You will not be permitted to decompress the course but can still use enriched air nitrogenx mixes.

TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course
TDI Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures classes prepare divers for accelerated, staged and controlled decompression. The course covers advanced gas planning, management and safety techniques. Students also learn how to manage their equipment and plan for contingencies. Four dives at a maximum depth limit of 40 meters (130 feet) are included in the TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Techniques course.
This course can be taken either as a standalone or in conjunction with an Advanced Nitrox or Decompression Procedures certification. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures classes are performance-based and last for four days. Students must complete six dives, and two below 30m dives. The course is customized to each student's experience and their individual requirements. This course prepares you for advanced technical diving.
PADI Tec Trimix course
The PADI Tec Trimix 90 course is the final stage of the PADI Technical Diver open circuit path. This certification course opens doors to deeper dives and allows divers to discover new places. This course is not suitable for tec divers with extensive experience who want to expand their range and explore deeper underwater environments. You must hold a valid diving license and pass a medical exam to become certified in trimix diving. You will need two 30cf stage bottles, a face mask and a pair of fins for this certification.
PADI Tec Trimix 65 requires that the diver have logged at minimum 350 dives. The course also includes technical diving techniques. It also offers multiple teaching scenarios. It is the most advanced course in technical diving certification. It is important to note that these requirements are more rigorous than those for the PADI Tec Diver standard course.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course
PADI Deep Diver certification is for recreational divers. This certification covers four dives and includes a practice of safety stops as well as descents. The technical diving equipment you use, such as a side mounted cylinder and EANx, will be practiced. Learn how to plan deep diving and manage your gas supplies. It's possible to take your lessons online or offline, and the PADI Tec eLearning program allows you to do it at your own pace.
This program, unlike previous PADI courses can be completed within two years. First, you need to be certified as a Tec 50 diver by an approved organization. The certification must include technical deep diving, pure oxygen diving, and decompression diving to 50 metres. The Tec Deep Instructor course can also be taught by the PADI Course director. Upon completion of the Tec Deep Instructor course, the PADI Course Director will issue you a Tec Deep Diver certification.
