NAUI - The Definition of Diving

In recent years, scuba diving has become increasingly popular and NAUI is one of the leading organizations that promotes this activity. The association is non-profit, and offers several certification programs. However, it only has a few locations throughout Asia compared to PADI. Divers must be willing travel a little to get training.

NAUI is a nonprofit organization

The NAUI was created in the 1950s. Most instructors are volunteers. Some of them have been involved in scuba dive since the beginning. NAUI began training instructors not necessarily scuba divers in 1960s. NAUI was established by volunteers from several countries, including Canada. NAUI eventually became an independent corporation. NAUI has grown internationally through alliances with DAN, Performance Freediving International and other organizations. NAUI launched its marketing campaign "The Definition of Diving" in the early 1970s. The organization had over 5,000 instructors certified by 1979.

The organization's goal is to promote safe diving and the preservation of aquatic environments. It also assists divers in becoming part of a community for underwater explorers. It allows divers to connect through the website and social media platforms, sharing photos and videos as well as stories.

It offers several certification programs

NAUI offers several certification programs for those who want to become certified divers. These courses provide information on safety and diving equipment. The program is also beneficial for those who are looking to learn how to spearfish and collect specimens. The course will provide information on safety concerns and specific techniques that are involved in spearfishing or collecting.

NAUI has a mobile application that lets users quickly and easily change their certification cards. The app also includes useful tools for planning dives and continuing training. NAUI has a long history in the recreational diving community, starting in the 1950s in Los Angeles. It was eventually brought to the USA by Sea Hunt TV. This show attracted many Californians to become certified diver.

It is taught at a few locations throughout Asia.

Although NAUI and PADI offer the same certification courses, NAUI is taught in fewer locations in Asia than do PADI and SSI. Both organizations share the same skills and teach similar life-saving lessons. The major difference between them is the fact that NAUI, unlike PADI, is a non-profit agency.

NAUI was born in Los Angeles, in the 1950s. The magazine Skin Diver introduced American divers to the sport, while a TV program called Sea Hunt attracted potential divers.

It is located in a smaller number of places than PADI.

Despite their similarity, there are some major differences between PADI and NAUI. The most important difference is in how the organization teaches and what certification requirements they require. While they may be similar in many respects, the differences are mainly in how they teach and their focus on improving divers skills. The choice of PADI or NAUI will depend on your physical capabilities, attitude and approach to the training process. PADI and NAUI are both excellent organizations that offer training and certification.

The two organizations have similar training requirements for their scuba diver certifications, but NAUI places greater emphasis on safety. Each organization requires divers to complete three stages in training: the professional, advanced and basic courses. Although the requirements for each stage of certification may vary from one center to another, generally NAUI divers must complete six dives above 40 meters while PADI divers must complete five below 30 meters. Both organizations require that students complete 40 open diving to earn their Divemaster certificate.

It's more practical than PADI

PADI and NAUI both offer scuba diving certifications, but there are some differences between them. PADI and NAUI are both for-profit organizations. Both can certify divers and teach safety and lifesaving lessons. They differ in their certification requirements and training methods.

PADI is a world-renowned diver training association. John Cronin & Ralph Erickson created it in 1966. Both were NAUI instructors. They also developed flexible courses for divers. PADI's courses include advanced recreational diving and basic diving mechanics. PADI operates in more then 180 countries with over 137,000 professionals.
