
Scuba Diving Magazine's Readers’ Choice Awards were revealed. The awards give readers the chance to vote for their favorite dive sites. This year, Aggressor Adventures, a dive center on the Bahamas, took home 79 awards, a 34-award lead over the runner-up. You can vote online for your favorite dive spots and locations.
Bonaire ranked second in the Advanced Diving category
Scuba Diving Magazine readers named Bonaire as a top Caribbean/Atlantic diving destination for fifth consecutive year. Bonaire won the Best Shore Diving Destination title. It also received honorable mentions for Best Underwater Photography, Best Visibility and Best Advanced Diving. The magazine's November 20,21 issue will feature the awards as voted by readers.
Bonaire's bike and hiking trails are available to visitors. The island even has a national park where you can view flamingos. The island also boasts its own water filtering systems, making tap water safe for consumption. The island had 114 nests of healthy turtles in 2016. This was the highest number ever recorded during a single nesting season.
