There are many types of freediving courses that you can choose from, such as the PADI Advanced freediver course and the NAUI basic course.

PADI Advanced Freediver course

The PADI Advanced Freediver course is a great way to further refine your skills and knowledge of freediving. You will learn how to perform longer dives while maintaining your apnea. This course will teach you how to rescue a freediver if necessary.

After you have successfully completed PADI Advanced Freediver training, you will become eligible for the Instructor program. This is the next stage in your freediving career. This course will help you master both a static and dynamic breath hold. You will also learn no-fins dive, managing a buoy, rope and mouth fill. You may also get to assist the instructor.

NAUI Basic Freediver Course

The NAUI Basic Freediver Course is designed for people who want to learn to freedive and improve their freediving skills. This course lasts four hours and combines classroom discussion with pool time. This course will cover the basics of freediving including the physics, physiology and mechanics. It also covers proper breathing techniques and equalization for deep diving. You must be at least 12 years old and have adequate swimming skills.


Before you enroll in a more advanced course, it is important that you have at minimum a bit of experience freediving. This course will teach you all you need to know about freediving and prepare you for more advanced training. After you complete the course you can apply to be a PADI Master Freediver. You can also learn to freedive with your buddy in a pool, ocean, or lake.

Course SSI Basic Freediver

The SSI Basic Freediver course will give you the basic skills you need to dive into the ocean. This unique combination of classroom training combined with in-water practice sessions offers an unbeatable combination. It includes two sessions in the pool and one in open water. You will be awarded the SSI Basic Freediver certificate at the end of this course.

The SSI Basic Freediver program will help you swim 400m, dive 50m in CWT (50 meters), freedive 20m, and perform a simulated Blackout. You can also swim to the surface. This course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to dive to depths of 40 meters or more. SSI offers certification programs that can be recognized around the world. This means that you can dive in any ocean. The SSI Freediver Basic Courses are a good way to get your feet wet and test out whether you like freediving.
