The SSI Mermaid Certification can be obtained online. You can do it online, so you can work whenever and wherever you like. There are two components to the certification. One is the practical part, and one is the online portion. Either you can do the online part on a desktop or laptop computer. Or, you can use your smartphone to complete the practical portion. JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT has been a PADI Mermaid Instructor since 2005 and is a certified SSI Instructor Instructor Trainer. At just 15 years old, she began her diving career. She has earned several Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about diving and enjoys going back to basics during open water classes. JODY also holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainer certification.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey enjoys swimming and surfing and is a passionate surfer. Her love of the ocean and beach inspired her to purchase a mermaid tail to use in her rehabilitation. She was a hit with children and adults alike when she wore the mermaidtail in a hotel pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
Whether you've always dreamed of being a mermaid or you're just curious about how the experience works, you've come to the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid experience, which allows you to swim under water with mermaid fins. This is a great course for beginners. This course will teach you how safe to swim underwater, how to use mermaid fins and even how to hold your breath underwater. 15 dollars towards your complete certification after completing the Try Mermaid program.
Rusty
Rusty was raised in New Orleans but was born in Atchafalaya Basin. It's the largest swamp in the US, covering 22 parishes. Living in the swamp has given him a deep appreciation for the unique cajun culture. Rusty loves to dive, cycle, and spend time with his loved ones.
Niki
Niki Dawson is a successful female entrepreneur. She is also a professional instructor in scuba diving and a creative wedding coordinator. She loves to travel to different parts to dive. Micronesia is her favorite spot to dive. While she loves diving, Niki loves exploring every part of the world.
Evi
Evi is a performer and instructor of mermaid swim. Her first mermaid school opened in March 2018 and she has already trained hundreds of guppies to swim with her tail. Evi, along with Naomi, has competed in World Mermaid Championship. Her goal is for children to enjoy the water and be safe around reefs.
