
The SSI Mermaid certification is available online. This allows you to do the certification from wherever you are and whenever you wish. There are two parts to the certificate: a practical portion and an online part. You can complete the online portion on a computer or laptop, or you can use your smartphone to take the practical part. You can download the SSI App for Android and iOS devices.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT is a PADI Mermaid Instructor and a certified SSI Instructor Trainer. At just 15 years old, she began her diving career. She has earned several Specialty Instructor Ratings. She is passionate about the water and loves to get back to basics in her open water classes. JODY holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Training certification.

Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey is an avid surfer and swimmer. She loves the ocean. To help her rehab, she bought a mermaid tail. The mermaid-tail drew attention from both children and adults when she was seen in the local hotel swimming pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
Whether you've always dreamed of being a mermaid or you're just curious about how the experience works, you've come to the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid experience, which allows you to swim under water with mermaid fins. This introductory course is perfect for beginners. It will teach you how to swim underwater safely, use mermaid fins, and even hold your breath underwater. Your $15 certification will be granted after you have completed the Try Mermaid course.
Rusty
Rusty was brought up in New Orleans. He grew to be a citizen of the Atchafalaya basinin. It is the largest US swamp, covering 22 municipalities. Rusty has a deep appreciation of the cajun culture from his time in the swamp. Rusty loves to dive, cycle, and spend time with his loved ones.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She enjoys diving in different parts of the globe. Micronesia is her favorite spot to dive. Niki is passionate about exploring all parts of the globe.

Evi
Evi is a mermaid instructor and performer who teaches mermaid tail swimming. Evi's first mermaid academy opened in March 2018. Since then, hundreds of guppies have learned to swim with her tail. Evi competed with Naomi in the World Mermaid Championship, teaching children how to swim with a Mermaid tail. Her goal is for children to enjoy the water and be safe around reefs.
